Gil Corral is a Maine-based artist with two paintings currently on view in “North Winds.” Gil writes, “I am interested in observing mind chatter, concepts and objectives while painting. Within this process, the aim is to lessen my preconceived notions and narratives - a concept in and of itself - and open to impulse or nuanced energy. I am finding the process often leads or points to ending with a blank canvas, just as it began. I’ve always marveled at the finite number of musical notes prescribed in theory, and how many songs and forms of expression have come from this. The same goes for painting with red, blue and yellow.”
❤️💙💛
Gil currently has two beautiful paintings on display in our group exhibition “North Winds”! This will be the last week to see “The View from There” & “North Winds”! We will be open by appointment only, so please reach out if you’d like to see the shows :)

the lincoln hotel is a boutique hotel in downtown biddeford, maine. a renovated industrial mill - the hotel holds batson river brew pub as it’s inhouse restaurant. the painting is a nod to the history of the old mill, the catacombs that run under the mill, and the batson river brewing love of our canine companions.
